As far as the Termite inspections go , it must depend on your area.

Personally I see it as liability.As far as marketing to Agents go , my business is from past clients and the web,period.I suppose if I was going after the RE Agent referral market ,IR would make more sense.

I don't have the past clients to refer me and my site is only a couple months old.  I don't have the luxury to wait for people to come to me.  I know many inspectors have strong feelings about using Realtors.  I can see why!  But I must find ways to eat!  So when you use 'period' in your response to me, in a sense you chastise me for trying to survive. 

I am looking for any and all ways to get my name out there.  Cheapest way is the best way right now!

The cost of license renewal is $70 a year. Insurance is about $350/500 a year.
The CEU is only 5 hrs every 3 years.

There is not much additional time in filling out report and performing inspection.

Check with your state on licensing requirements.

The more services you provide the more desirable you are to your clients and agents.

In regards to the Thermal imaging. I like you would like to offer this service.
I plan on taking a course in the near future. I need to know what I am doing before I purchase a camera.

Make sure you're putting your blog on your website and sign up with technorati (see the SEO section of the board).

Dom - you didn't have much info about the technorati.  I went to "technorati" on the web and came across a site that gives me a line to "claim" my blog.  What do I put on the http?  jaymarinspect.com/blog?  My AR site?  Where should I put a link on my site to link back to the AR blog site?  Should I be asking even more questions?  Or more?
