Agreed! Like I said, If asked I tell them.

As for the cities around me. I live in North Liberty. I am just outside of Iowa City and Cedar Rapids. Northlibertyinspections.com is an available domain! What are your thoughts on that? Also, they call the area of travel from Cedar Rapids to Iowa City "The Corridor". Corridorinspections.com is also available.

The honesty aspect is great; but it's also a MAJOR marketing tool for your competition.  I'd market that like crazy if I knew someone was "part-time".

I have thought about that too. Everyone says "DON'T advertise you are part time!"

Has anyone ever intentionally marketed themselves as part time? If I could find a way to put a huge positive spin on the fact that I am part time, then I may try it.

However, having always left that out on my marketing, I see no issue with doing it this way either. Not sure how many times I have ever been asked that question. Very few times I'm sure. Just leaving that out I think is the best from a perception standpoint at this time.

But if I can think of a clever way to positively market myself as part time I will give it a try! But I see what you're saying.

What are the populations of the cities around you?

North Liberty-12k
Iowa City- 62k
Cedar Rapids-120k

Keep in mind I live in North Liberty.

Ok, North Liberty is out. How far away are the other two cities?

Iowa City is 5 miles away and Cedar Rapids is about 12 miles away.

Most people think of North Liberty as being in the Iowa City area. Like I said, it's in the "corridor" between the two cities.

Iowa City is a college town plus with the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics it is a big doctor town too. If that matters.
