TOPIC: How's your business doing?

It seems like a very large door has been slammed shut Thanksgiving Day.
Business was starting to pick up and then all of a sudden nothing. I am still doing my marketing but man. I am located in south Florida on the east coast and I am interested to find out if this slow down is just happening to me alone or if this is happening to other inspectors? ???

Hey Mark, Yes its slow here in Calif. as well. Real Estate in general slows this time of the year. I also have a Const. Co. so I am working. Hope it picks up for all of us

Update your profile when you get a chance, it says you're in NY. Where on the East Coast are you? I know some of our guys on the East coast like in Boca Raton are still staying pretty busy.

Agreed; I've been watching my website hits, and since about Thanksgiving, my hits have dropped substantially.  Frustrating as all get out...but, it is a tough time of year, and with the govt. extending the tax credit, more folks are sitting back.

I have received the most hits on my sites in November than any other period this year.

My jobs have actually increased rather than decrease. However, overall they have been down substantially since previous years.

The jobs I have been doing are much bigger so there is some offset there.

I have normally come to expect major drop-offs at Thanksgiving and business resumes on 3 January. Not this year! ?

I have no understanding why it is not the norm. This time of the year is a good time for you to take a vacation!

Just before the kids go back to school is another 100% shut down for me in most cases.
