TOPIC: I Killed Another One

A cell phone that is. I went fishing last night, and I had my phone in my front shirt pocket, which I never do, cuz I might drop it in the lake. And that is exactly what I did. I dried it our overnight, it powered up and then proceeded to slowly discharge and that was that. When did these become such a POS? This thing was in the lake less than a minute, I fished it out with the net. My last phone sat in a 1 ft deep puddle for about 10 minutes and kept on going, dropped it from a roof. Maybe it just needs some more drying time. Hope sop, cuz that thing is only a month old, and warranty does not cover water damage.

Ohhh man, sorry to hear that.  Couple of years ago I bought my first blackberry.  I had no more than charged the battery for the first time and the phone went swimming (with me).  Luckily I had water damage coverage, but had to wait 30 days to make the claim.

I have a hard enough time getting me to go swimming with me.  I charge right up afterward though, no problems with that yet...

Ian, I hoped you pulled the battery asap after you got it back and let it dry with the battery pulled out?
