Okay - looking it all over -
-- I know there are many sites out there for interaction and posting and seeing and commenting - I am too busy for all that, though it would be a lot of fun. -- Reply 4 above - I looked at a lot of it - what made those stones white? I think efflorescence, water getting behind and/or in to, but I don't know what it would be other than lime. What other stuff would they put in mortar (or stone fabrication)? -- Reply 5, 6, 7 above - I remember seeing those on the Nachi site - that might be where I got the phrase "the next EIFS," but that is also about the time I got off the Nachi site - again, time, and the infantility of most of the posters there. Everyone is a know-it-all and if you don't agree it yanks their panties up way too tight. Then their stupid little red dots fly around - I couldn't take it. I remember studying your posts however and learning, for which I was grateful. -- Reply 8 above - I go to bed about 9 and usually get up at 3 or 330. Come on, Carl, talk to me. -- Reply 9 above - that is another site that I have come across in the past, but again, time. More of same stuff... -- Reply 10 above - yawn... -- Reply 11 above - I hardly ever sleep in until 445, but hey, it's Sunday. P.s. I really like the title "World Moderator" - gee, if the shoe fits... |

Faux stone is stucco with a different finish and a lot more weight.

I know what faux stone is - are you answering my question as to what caused all that efflorescence? You're saying that it's the stucco material?

It very well could be the cement they stuck the stone with.

Mayhap - eff is usually the limestone in the mix. But that the stones so erratically whitened was unusual at least!

And around here they could have added calcium chloride.
