Well that lasted for about 20 minutes. I am back to the original problems. I think I will get a new video card.

Quite possible. What version of windows are you running and how old was the driver?

I am back in business. I got a new video card. I have windows xp media center edition. I do not know if it is 32 or 64 bit, but the new driver would not install when I chose the 64 bit, but it installed when I chose the 32 bit. I got a Galaxy GeForce GT440 1024MB/MO DDR3 with PhysX (whatever the hell PhysX that means).

What I hate about the video cards is I do not know how to set them, I do not know what all those terms mean. I do play on online FPS WWII game, I even run a server for it. But, I don't know if making adjustments will make a difference.

It's almost definitely 32 bit. There's very few 64 bit XP machines out there.

You probably don't need any manual adjustment except for your resolution. Glad you're back in business.

I do not need to adjust for gaming? I don't know what all that anti-aliasing and other stuff is anyway.

Every time I get a new video card or use a new program/game, I start with basic settings and begin adding features as I use the software.  As soon as I start getting video card issues (game crashes, video lag, screen distortions, etc.) I back off the latest setting I improved.  It seems every program can react different unless your system is so far advanced it can handle anything.
