TOPIC: Frustrated In Oklahoma

Hey Dom, I have talked to you before about how to keep my Internet Explorer from changing over to Spanish and it still keeps happening.  Do you have any idea how to stop this? 

I have done the stuff you have told me to do.  One was to go to some Google English page.  And the other was to clear all my IE history and all that.  My web searches still periodically come up in Spanish.

I think the problem is that your wife is probably doing searches in Spanish. Is it happening right now?

She rarely uses my computer and I asked her last night if she does searches in Spanish and she said she doesn't.  The only thing I can think of is she uses a online Spanish dictionary to help her with her translations stuff.  But she hasn't done any of that in a long long long time.

And yes it is doing it right now.  For instance, I typed in Home Depot into the URL bar and it come up with:  www.homedepot.com.mx/wps/portal

Or if I type in some search phrase on my Google home page, it will find the normal results but the Google page itself changes to Spanish.

Do you have any plugins installed for languages or the google toolbar?

I do have the google toolbar installed.  But no language plug ins.

Hmm, try disabling the bar and see if it still happens. Also, are you logged into Google (look in the top right corner)?
