Why transfer? Leaving the plumbing issues in the room they occur in.

Dom we do system by system.

Summary is for the punch list and a punch list needs to be organized.
Living in sunny california I assume you have far fewer issues to report.
I have never seen a room by room report that looked good or was easy to comprehend.

Issues should be grouped by trade and not randomly all over the report.

There is a Electric section,a Plumbing section,a Heating section,etc for a reason.

Are you suggesting no longer having Structural or Plumbing section and reporting by rooms
Should I report walls as being plaster 10 times every report for each room as well ?

Now if we could report room by room with a hashtag or earmark that sends the comment to proper system section you will be talking.:)

Why not a room by room hybrid? There's many that look great. Think about how a client looks at reports. They visualize themselves in each room of the house. They're not contractors, electricians, etc. That's why they hired you guys!

Some guys have an interior section where they report things like plaster. Others do it in each room, some do none. Talk to Troy and other guys that do this.

As we've discussed on here before, sending room by room data to a system template causes tons of duplication. No one has come up with a good solution for that yet. Let me know and then I'll add it!

HIP mobile is certainly best suited for room by room inspections because it lacks a photo taking feature to allow for the easy slotting of photos without all the extra clicks associated with changing sections.

This in my view is why HIP mobile it is a step back (from the flexibility of HIP desktop) which is programmed to suit both room by room inspections and system by system inspections and / or a combination of both.

Dom I have seen Troys report but why assume I like it because you do.

I do may 2 and 3 flat buildings plus occasional 6-12 unit buildings so doing a room by room report would be 200 pages long.
Are you suggesting I should report each room in every single apartment because it is easier on the software ?

You keep saying someone should come up with solutions and I do it all the time but you never listen anymore like you used to and heck I just got the 3.9 beta from February so have no idea whats going on anymore when I have been your biggest supporter all these years..

1) Hashtags to ear mark where comments or pictures get slotted
Template is set up room by room
Living room / #walls : Bad taping
Dining room / #walls : Bad taping
Kitchen / #walls : Bad taping

[ = ]

Interior #walls have bad taping at [#living room],[#Dining room],[#Kitchen]

In mobile as above instead of clicking back and forth all over the place and hitting save after backtracking to a section then clicking forward to go into more subsections why not just allow a caption drop that instead of captions shows ...# Hashtags... to auto slot each picture ?

The drop box instead of adding captions could pick location of a picture.

Why can I not take my Android camera which has become wasted money and simply snap a shot have the drop box pop open for automatic section slotting ???

I have no need to click canned comments til at home.
Let those guys do all the back clicking since they enjoy it.
I know you could do it but your ear is being bent by the guys who are minimalist taking mobile backwards from where HIP desktop went and that made it popular.

Peter sorry I have not gotten back to you yet however I am stressed with report length.
Thought I had a good solution but found that my camera rebooted after about 50 shots and I lost the entire subsection or tab.

Went back to regular camera which is a shame as I got the galaxy 5 for the camera but may be stuck using desktop HIP because it simply is not suited for photos like the popular desktop which became that way because of fast photo slotting.

All my business is from my superior use of making it easy on clients with pictures and illustrations so refuse to submit due to limitations of mobile.
Maybe one day after the drop list guys are happy the photo side will be improved.
