TOPIC: Help Mobile HIP

I have a Samsung galaxy note II. I been using the HIP beta with no issue. Now I can not down load a template to my phone. Nothing happen when I click the download button. I removed all my phones and apps that I don't use from the phone to fee up storage. I unistalled HIP and reinstalled HIP a couple times. Still can't down load.

I have the HIP mobile beta on my Samsung Note 8.0 and have no problem.

John I was looking at the Note 8 yesterday and comparing it to the ipad mini.
Costs more than Apple which is odd so why would I want the 8 over the ipad ?
Also is the stylus of any good use during inspections ?

Main reason for the 8 to me is just being familiar with my samsung android camera at this point or is there more ?

P.S I love the new Beta but we need to have ability to edit Summary gallery shots from that section and show where they are located.

Bob, when I got my Galaxy Note II AT&T gave me a deal on the Galaxy 8.0 so I went for it. HIP works great on it too but its just a bit to big to tote around and missing the camera flash.

I'm mystified to why my Galaxy Note II is having problems with the HIP Beta. I've done at least a dozen inspections and worked like a charm so much that I purchased the HIP license. I'm going to AT&T today to have them check out my phone. I think I will have to get it set back to the factory reset.  :-[

John if everything else on the phone works it may be a app thing.
Example: My Samsung galaxy camera pictures feature freezes every 20 shots or so unless I reboot but only when using HIP.
I think there are so many Android devices it will take time for Dom to catch up right now .

Remember this is all Beta stuff and you are on the cutting edge.

Seems like Samsung is a giant at this point and perhaps HTC or Sony will make a play as well.

Apple is all the same and damn the i pad mini is cheaper yet the idea of the stylus is intriguing me.

How do you like the pressure sensitivity and does the handwriting recognition work ?

I am sooo close to getting it right now.
Still $399 is pretty high.

John, I'll send you a newer beta. It's hard to say which you're using and why there might be an issue or if it's even HIP. Uninstall what you have and then install what I'm sending you and let me know.

Bob, the stylus and hand writing recognition is what sold me on the note II. I tried other tablets phone and I just have fat fingers. I like the way the stylus has a tracking "Bead" that appears on the letters when I hover over the top of them. I hardly make an error when modifying my narratives now. The writing recognition is also awesome. I switch back and forth. I use stylus to modify narrative and writing recognition when creating new comment.

With these capabilities in conjunction with HIP I have shaved at least an (1) hour off my combined inspection/reporting. Now say this I needs to be qualified by saying I rewrote all my narrative to be friendly with the Mobile HIP. What I mean I use a one or two word comment DOUBLE TAP in front of my narrative, this has helped me to scan my list for quick access. The search feature work good too.

Today I had to lug my laptop into the inspection. Boy I miss the portability of the Note II so I have to get this thing working. No turning back now.
