Can you and/or we incorporate lists somehow to "merge" the duplicate comments?

Lists won't work because the original comments are being selected in 3 separate rooms. The problem is you have thousands of narratives that you'd have to manually map together and they wouldn't be flexible. I can't think of a way logically (forget about the programming side) to do this.

Exactly why I prefer photo notes.
Simply show location shots and then add or blend comments based on photo grouping.

I'm always trying to improve HIP. I like the idea I just don't see a way to logically do it and make it good. Keep the discussion and ideas coming!

Dom I am confused as to why you think someone would have Fact-Opinion-Guidance wrapped into a comment automatically.

Report is a list not a entertainment magazine.
List defects room by room then add guidance separately and once.
Guidance should never be auto generated really...that is the massaging of the report portion.

As far as the jumping around goes why not have a auto back (return) button.

Therefore, you must test the devices weekly. The unit should be replaced immediately if it is not operating properly. The performance of smoke detectors older than 10 years is simply not reliable. To ensure your family's safety, all carbon monoxide and smoke/CO combination alarms need to be replaced every 5 years. All smoke alarms need to be replaced every 10 years.
