I have wanted to start the report on my desktop (load basic information into the template) and then have it show on my iPad.  This was a feature that 3D had and I missed it when I came over from the dark side..

I do multi unit buildings which are called residential here .
Do not inspect commercial as of yet.

Ready to dowload but where is the mobile side update?

There is no mobile update needed,  it's all handled on the full version of HIP.

David,  multiple companies is fine, merge doesn't discriminate. Just make sure that you do the merge in the copy of HIP with the company information you want.

Scott from what I can tell the merge does not upload to mobile with anything past the template.
You would need to remember what sections you already completed.

David mentioned the redundant information on the desktop side which is great because you could not merge that with the mobile till now.

This means tips and maintenance for instance I always tell people to seal all openings in many exterior and bath or kitchen sections but this way I would not need to reclick and also you could add graphics in photo that are permenent that hold illustration.

Of course there is no preloaded template feature as of yet so you must always keep hitting extra copies for now.

My question is what would the fastest way to merge a windows laptopo report with a desktop be to continue the same report.

Zip drive,aux hard drive,dropbox,etc ?

Bob, this is the preloaded template feature! Merge allows you to have multiple versions of files you'd want to load into any inspection.

All those methods are about the same speed.
