Bob...are you using Mobile exclusively in the field?...BTW...you have your CE hrs all in, and ready to pay  IL their extortion fee? Illinois has gone from 4500 inspectors down to 1800

I took time off by trying to not answer the phone over the weekend and while driving home with my camera last night booked 2 for next week.
This is one of my busiest month's which is crazy as it normally slows down by now.

I just bought this thing as I could never get used to the mobile thing but have spent time setting up all my note and caption stuff so
now that I have the camera and was practicing last night it all feels 100% natural.
The mobile will allow me to double my business. No more 3 hour reports or sacrificing my quality.
Going to sync and bring home to massage reports for a while to play it safe Dan.

I will create a you tube clip showing me using it sometime real soon.

Still need those CE's and going to focus on that today as a matter of fact.

I got shafted with a proctor fiasco (long story).

Home sales are up 53% form October one year ago and builder confidence is up 46% from 6.5 years ago so look for larger inspector numbers all over soon.

I have seen the same here. Hi's seem to have evaporated around here!

Went to a TN all day training 2 weeks ago and there were no newbies in site! Just the old farts (like me), that exist in spite of themselves))! 

Bad times can often be good times for some!

1. Buyers are more cautious. I remember doing inspections many years back that were sight-unseen by the buyer, and while on site had up to 3 Realtors showing the same house (just in case contracts).
People were moving across the street (going bigger or smaller). Jumping school zone boundaries for their ageing kids etc. So I think Inspections are up.

2. Bankers are requiring more in the form of inspections.

3. Less active inspectors (some getting a 2nd job) reduces availability.

4. 4-closures require a close eye in buyers opinion.

I have watched housing starts closely over the years and they never seemed to effect the HI business around here for some reason.
But, something (whatever it is) is happening right now. I'm covered up and usually between Thanksgiving and Christmas is dead from all the other stuff going on (kids out of school, traveling,sellers don't want you in their house then)...

Yes Inspectors disappeared with the bad economy but things are turning around and this has been a good year for many.
When things go south the full time committed guys get all the work.

Just several days ago the Agent mentioned she has met me before then turned to my client and said 10% of the Inspectors get 90% of the work around here so I meet most of them.
