TOPIC: Home Inspector Pro 2.8.2 Released For Mac & Windows

I know what's going on there. I have Inserts saving with save template but must have have it updating with inspection saved. Checking it out right now.

GREAT New Feature: Really like the Tabs changing color to show that you have viewed the tab or check a rating box!

However—don’t know if I like the fluorescent/chartreuse GREEN . It does not show well on the gray background of each tab—at least on my monitor.

Maybe another darker green or another color that contrasts with the grey?

Changed to Dark Green for now until fully customizable.

The green is just temporary to let you guys test out the feature. You'll be able to change it to whatever you want and the page in the menu will change too once all the tabs on the page have changed.

Working on some of the other items right now.

Renaming an Insert is a bit tricky as you also need to search through every narrative in the program and find all instances of the narrative and update it there as well. I'd already started on it, but will see if I can get it done before I release the 2.7.6 with the bug fixed you mentioned above.

If I download the update, it automatically installs "overtop" of the original version or do I have a chance to play with it before actually having to use it?

Hi Bert,

It installs directly over your existing versions but does not change any of your existing templates. If you want to roll back you can just install the previous version, www.homeinspectorpro.com/dmdocuments/Hom...orPro-2_7-Update.exe and that will put 2.7 back over 2.7.5. We made the program so that there's no problem going forwards or backwards within the same version (2.x). I am working on 2.7.6 right now and am trying to have it out by later tonight.
