After using the another software inspection software for a little over six years it came to our attention that software was closing down. As such, I needed to find a replacement program. After looking at eight to ten programs and demoing four of them I decided that Home Inspector Pro (HIP) was, by far, the best option for me and my company. HIP is the complete package when it comes to ease of use, customization, portability, technical support, and (of course) price. Once I started with the demo program, I tested it out for about a month and did numerous trial inspections on my own house, family members, and friends. After that first month, I knew that this was the right program for me; it is, in a word, phenomenal! I purchased the program at that point. Another month to get comfortable with the program, set things up the way it made sense to me, and I was off and running.
Most people are not big on change, but sometimes (like in this situation) the change is a vast improvement over the former situation. I highly recommend Home Inspector Pro and look forward to using it for many years to come.

What is the difference between the foundation purchase vs monthly subscription?
The two plans give you the exact same services. The foundation plan costs more upfront in that you start paying the $50/mo after your 3 months free, but you save money in the long run vs the Subscription plan at $89/mo. An optional paid upgrade for full version upgrades (i.e. HIP 6 to 7) occurs every 2 to 3 years (currently $199) with the foundation plan. The subscription plan includes all future upgrades and one low monthly cost and nothing upfront but has a higher monthly cost than the foundation plan.
